Quote: “There is such peril in loving things at all, and he feels sort of proud, in fact, that he just keeps on doing it.”
Review: A shocking and important warning-bell of a tale shrouded in mystery. McConaghy creates an incredibly dynamic look at the dangers of global warming and the interiority of what happens when a close-knit family is disrupted by exterior forces all in one go. As someone who is typically not a fan of the mystery/thriller genre, I did have a hard time with one of the plotlines; however, it was not enough to take away from my interest in this book. It’s definitely worth recommending. I hope to read more of McConaghy’s work in the future.
